You may have seen the “100 Years of Beauty in 1 Minute” video around the Internet recently. It was a collaboration between some very talented women with a well-executed concept. What you may not have seen, though, is the person who takes center stage in the video, Nina Carduner, is not only a model, but holds her MBA from Bainbridge Graduate Institute, has been very involved in the startup and technology movement in the West Coast, and is currently working in sustainability efforts. Plus she’s a fun person to be around. Get it Nina! Congratulations!

First Photo Shoot with the Nibling

Here's one thing I'm thankful for—I had the chance to meet my four month old nibling Michael III for the first time this Thanksgiving. As my first gift as an Uncle I gave my sister Jessica and her husband Michael II a photo shoot. The film is still being processed at Panda Labs in Seattle, but here are a few of my favorite from the digital batch. Uncle Michael loves you!

While hiking one Saturday I saw this bird flying alone in the distance. I wish I knew what kind it was. However, it reminded me to not be afraid to fly alone.

Week 31 | 52 Rolls in 52 Weeks - Young Women Empowered

One of the things I most enjoy is spending time with people who are actively working within their communities to increase the diversity, inclusion, and opportunities for all. I volunteered a day to cover an event for Y-WE (Young Women Empowered). The day included several opportunities for young women to mentor each other as well as share in mentorship from professionals, artists, and community activists of all ages. It warmed my heart when I got the negatives back and saw these images.
