Shout Out: Melissa Lojewski
Michael B. Maine Thursday, September 23, 2010 One of my favorite people in the world right now has to be Melissa Lojewski. Aside from being an overall great person and freelance graphic artist, she has proven there is still room in advertising for fine art. Never willing to settle for stock images and basic typography, she is the one of the very few people I know who has the freehand drawing skills to produce fine work worthy of print. She’s more articulate with imagery than most people are with words, and her positive attitude and desire for perfection has been an inspiration to all of those around her, including myself. This particular set is a packaging concept she put together for gift boxes for the Chinese New Year. It was “Year Of The Hog.”

Melissa is as talented and kind-hearted as they come. It has been my pleasure work with her on the design of the 2011 Tower Climb and Run graphics for the 26th annual event hosted by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Lone Star Chapter. Michael Maine introduced me to Melissa when he learned we were looking for a volunteer to do graphics. She graciously decided to give her time and amazing talents to help the Chapter and ultimately help find a cure for CF.
After giving Melissa only a brief overview of the Foundation and the event, showing her past designs, and offering a few ideas from the Tower Climb Committee, It didn't take her long to come up with a great, creative design that we love! It's unique, fun and incorporates all of the elements we were hoping.
If you are looking for true design talent I whole-heartedly recommend Melissa!

I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for there kind words. I appreciate Michael and Brandy both for there support. I have enjoyed working with both of them on the Tower Climb materials and hope that the money raised will find a cure.
Melissa is probably the best artist I know. Everyone should have her art on their walls!!
